Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By creating an account or using BusinessBooked, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. About BusinessBooked

BusinessBooked is an online marketplace that connects verified sales professionals ("Reps") with companies seeking to hire sales talent ("Companies"). The platform is operated by BusinessBooked, operated from Ontario, Canada.

Our service includes rep profile creation, AI-assisted and CRM-based performance verification, a leaderboard and scoreboard system, a company talent marketplace, and introductory request and negotiation tools.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use BusinessBooked. By creating an account, you confirm that you are legally permitted to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe, in our sole discretion, have been created fraudulently or in violation of these terms.

3. Account Types

Sales Rep Accounts (Free)

Sales professionals may create a profile, complete verification sessions, appear in the marketplace and scoreboard, and receive intro requests from companies at no cost. Reps retain ownership of their profile data and may delete their account at any time.

Note: BusinessBooked may impose rate limits, anti-spam controls, or usage restrictions on any account type at any time without notice to maintain platform integrity and protect users from abuse.

Company Accounts (Paid)

Companies access the marketplace, send intro requests, manage hiring pipelines, and create compensation packages under a paid subscription. Access to verified rep profiles and the ability to send intro requests is contingent on maintaining an active subscription and completing the company review process.

Subscriptions are billed monthly on the date of initial payment. Payment is processed via our third-party payment processor. You authorize BusinessBooked to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days advance notice to active subscribers.

5. Company Review Process

Company accounts must complete a review process, which includes providing a valid work email address and undergoing a manual review by our team. BusinessBooked reserves the right to reject or revoke company approval at its discretion.

6. Rep Verification

Reps may complete a performance verification session to display verified revenue, deal counts, and quota attainment on their profile. By initiating a verification session, you consent to sharing your screen and CRM interface with our AI verification system for the purpose of confirming the numbers you have claimed.

You represent that all claimed figures are accurate and truthful. Deliberately submitting false performance data is a material breach of these terms and may result in immediate account termination and permanent ban from the platform.

7. User Content & Data

You retain ownership of all information you submit to BusinessBooked, including your profile data, performance figures, and communications. By submitting content to the platform, you grant BusinessBooked a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and process that content for the purposes of operating the service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is used.

8. User Responsibility for Disclosed Performance Information

This section addresses one of the most important legal responsibilities on this platform. Please read it carefully before submitting any performance data.

BusinessBooked allows sales professionals to submit and verify career performance information including revenue figures, deal counts, quota attainment, and related sales metrics ("Performance Information"). Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to disclose any Performance Information submitted to this platform.

By submitting Performance Information, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are authorized to share the submitted metrics for professional career and profile purposes
  • Sharing the information does not violate any employment agreement, non-disclosure agreement, confidentiality obligation, or company policy that applies to you
  • You are submitting your own career achievement data, not proprietary employer data, internal reports, customer records, or confidential business intelligence
  • You understand that aggregate performance metrics are commonly shared by sales professionals in resumes, on LinkedIn, and in recruiting conversations

Important: BusinessBooked does not independently determine whether submitted performance information is confidential or restricted by your employer. That responsibility rests entirely with the user submitting the information.

If you are unsure whether sharing certain metrics is permitted under your employment agreement or company policy, we strongly recommend consulting a legal professional before submitting that information.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: submit false or fabricated performance data; impersonate another person or organization; scrape or extract data by automated means; harass or abuse other users; circumvent our verification system; or use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate sales hiring and job searching.

10. Limitation of Liability

BusinessBooked is a marketplace and technology platform. We are not a staffing agency, employment agency, or recruiter. We do not guarantee that any introduction will result in a hire or that verified performance data is 100% accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BusinessBooked shall not be liable for hiring decisions made based on platform data, any loss of revenue or business opportunity, the conduct of any rep or company, or inaccuracies in verified performance data.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount you paid to BusinessBooked in the three months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BusinessBooked from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your submission of false or misleading information.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via account settings. Company accounts cancelled mid-cycle retain access until the end of the billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for early cancellation. BusinessBooked reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account for violations of these terms.

13. No Guarantee of Employment or Hiring Outcomes

BusinessBooked does not guarantee that using the platform will result in employment, a hire, revenue, or any specific outcome for any user.

Any representations about earnings, rankings, or hiring outcomes shown on our marketing pages are illustrative of platform capabilities only and do not represent typical or guaranteed results.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

15. No Employment or Agency Relationship

Nothing in these terms creates an employment, contractor, partnership, or agency relationship between you and BusinessBooked. BusinessBooked is a technology platform and marketplace operator only.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

This policy explains what personal information BusinessBooked collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Who We Are

BusinessBooked is the data controller responsible for your personal information, operated from Ontario, Canada.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: Name, email address, password (hashed), and profile details
  • Rep profile data: Job title, industry, location, experience level, salary expectations, CRM platform, and bio
  • Performance data: Revenue figures, deal counts, and quota attainment that you submit
  • Company data: Company name, industry, size, location, website, work email, and hiring information
  • Communications: Messages sent through intro requests and negotiation threads
  • Payment information: Billing details processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers)

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, and actions taken on the platform
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address
  • Authentication logs: Login timestamps and session data

Information from third parties

  • Verification sessions: Screenshots captured during AI screen verification. These are processed to confirm CRM data and not stored permanently after the verification result is generated.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: Bot detection signals used to protect our intro request system

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To display your profile to companies in the marketplace (for reps who are open to offers)
  • To process and display verification results on your profile
  • To facilitate introductions between reps and companies
  • To process subscription payments for company accounts
  • To send transactional emails
  • To detect and prevent fraud and platform abuse
  • To improve our verification algorithms and platform performance
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Who We Share Your Data With

Service providers

  • Supabase: Database and authentication provider
  • Cloudflare: Bot detection and CDN services
  • Payment processor: Subscription billing
  • Vercel: Platform hosting and edge delivery

Other parties

  • Companies browsing the marketplace: If you are a rep with "Open to offers" enabled, your verified profile data is visible to verified companies. Your name is hidden if anonymous mode is enabled.
  • Legal authorities: We may disclose information if required by law or court order.

5. Data Retention

  • Active accounts: Data retained for as long as your account is active
  • Deleted accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days (backups up to 90 days)
  • Verification session frames: Not stored after verification result is generated
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law
  • Intro request communications: Retained for 12 months after the request is closed

6. Your Rights (PIPEDA)

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, withdraw consent for, and request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact our support team. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed passwords, row-level security on our database, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.

8. Public Profile Visibility

If you are a rep with "Open to offers" enabled, certain profile information is visible to verified companies browsing the marketplace. Your name is hidden if anonymous mode is enabled.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use session cookies required for authentication and platform functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users.

Important Notice

Verification Disclaimer

This disclaimer is critically important. If you are a company using verified data to make hiring decisions, or a rep relying on your verified badge to represent your performance, please read this carefully.

1. What BusinessBooked Verification Means

When a rep's profile displays a "Verified" badge, this means the rep completed a live screen-sharing session, a CRM interface was visible on screen, and the AI system observed data consistent with the revenue, deal count, and time period claimed by the rep.

Verification confirms consistency between claimed figures and observed CRM data at the time of the session. It does not independently audit the underlying CRM records or guarantee the data has not been manipulated prior to the session.

2. What Verification Does Not Mean

A verified badge does not mean the figures are 100% accurate or independently audited; that the CRM data was not altered before the session; that the rep is the sole contributor to the revenue shown; or that the performance will continue in future employment.

3. Limitations of AI Verification

Our AI verification system analyzes screen-share frames to identify CRM interfaces and compare visible data to claimed figures. This system is subject to errors and misreadings, may be unable to accurately read all CRM platforms, cannot always distinguish personal from team-wide revenue, and is an early-stage technology being continuously improved.

4. No Employment Guarantee

BusinessBooked does not conduct background checks, reference checks, or employment verification. Companies are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before making any hiring decision.

5. Rep Responsibility

By submitting performance data for verification, reps confirm that the figures claimed are accurate to the best of their knowledge, they have not manipulated or falsified CRM data, and they understand that submitting false data is a violation of our Terms of Service.

6. Limitation of Liability for Verification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BusinessBooked is not liable for any hiring decision made based on platform data, errors in AI verification results, or fraudulent verification sessions where a rep has deliberately manipulated their data.

Acceptable Use Policy

This policy defines what you can and cannot do on BusinessBooked. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

1. Permitted Uses

BusinessBooked is designed for sales professionals creating verified performance profiles and appearing in the marketplace, and for companies browsing verified sales talent and sending structured intro requests.

2. Prohibited Uses - Performance Data

Submitting false performance data is the most serious violation on this platform.

  • Entering revenue or deal figures you know to be false or materially inaccurate
  • Manipulating, staging, or editing CRM data before or during a verification session
  • Using another person's CRM account during a verification session
  • Using demo, test, or sandbox CRM data as if it were live performance data
  • Claiming sole credit for revenue generated by a team without disclosure
  • Helping another rep circumvent the verification process

3. Prohibited Uses - Account & Identity

  • Creating multiple accounts for the same individual or company
  • Impersonating another person, company, or brand
  • Using a work email address that does not belong to you
  • Sharing account credentials with others

4. Prohibited Uses - Platform Integrity

  • Scraping or extracting data by automated means
  • Reverse engineering or attempting to access our source code
  • Attempting to bypass any security feature of the platform
  • Using the platform to build a competing service or compile a database of sales talent for resale
  • Using the platform to recruit on behalf of a competing talent marketplace

5. Prohibited Uses - Communications

  • Sending spam or unsolicited bulk messages through intro requests
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
  • Sharing personal contact information of other users without their consent

6. Enforcement

BusinessBooked reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation. Depending on the severity, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend access, permanently terminate the account without refund, remove verified badges, or refer the matter to law enforcement.

7. Reporting Violations

If you believe another user is violating this policy, please report it using the in-app issue reporting feature.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to company subscriptions only. Rep accounts are free and have no payment terms.

2. Billing

Your subscription begins on the date your company account is activated and employer verification is completed. You will be billed $300 CAD on that date, and again on the same calendar date each subsequent month. All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes (GST/HST).

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your company subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. No prorated refunds are issued for cancellations made mid-cycle.

4. Refund Policy

General rule - no refunds

All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not issue refunds for unused time after cancellation, periods of non-use, dissatisfaction with marketplace size, changes to platform features, or situations where a rep declines an intro request.

Exceptions - when we will issue a refund

  • Billing error: You were charged incorrectly or charged more than once due to a technical error on our end
  • Platform unavailability: The platform was inaccessible for more than 48 consecutive hours due to our infrastructure failure
  • Verification denial: Your company review was denied after your first payment and you have not accessed any paid features

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge via the in-app report feature.

5. Account Termination by BusinessBooked

If we terminate your account due to a policy violation, no refund will be issued. If we terminate your account for reasons unrelated to policy violations, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current billing period.

6. Price Changes

We will provide at least 30 days written notice before any price increase takes effect. You may cancel before the new price takes effect without penalty.

Rep Policy

Rep Accountability

BusinessBooked is built on one principle: your numbers are real. This page explains what happens when a company interviews you, hires you, and what occurs if fraud is reported.

1. Why This Matters

When a company finds your profile on BusinessBooked, they are making a decision based on the performance data you have logged and verified. Your outreach history, revenue numbers, and deal counts are visible to them before the first conversation starts.

This is a significant advantage for honest reps. You walk into every conversation with proof behind you. But it comes with responsibility. The numbers on your profile need to reflect reality.

2. When a Company Interviews You

Companies that reach out through BusinessBooked have already seen your profile. They know your claimed revenue, deal count, outreach activity, and verification status before contacting you.

In an interview context, you should expect to be held to those numbers. A company that sees $300K in closed revenue on your profile will ask about it. If your answers are inconsistent with what your profile shows, that inconsistency will be noted.

Reps who log accurately and verify their numbers walk into interviews with a significant credibility advantage. Your profile does the heavy lifting before you say a word.

3. When a Company Hires You

If a company hires you after finding your profile on BusinessBooked, your profile data becomes part of the hiring context. The company chose you based, in part, on what your profile showed.

BusinessBooked does not monitor your performance after hire. We are an introduction platform, not an employment service. What happens after a successful introduction is between you and the company.

4. If a Company Reports Your Numbers as Fabricated

Fabricated numbers are the most serious violation on this platform. They undermine the integrity of every verified rep who logged their numbers honestly.

If a company reports that your profile numbers were fabricated and provides supporting evidence, BusinessBooked will open a review within 5 business days, contact you directly before any action is taken, review verification records, and make a determination based on the available evidence from both sides.

Possible outcomes: no action, warning issued, verified badge removed, or permanent account removal if fraud is confirmed.

5. Why Honesty Is the Better Play

Reps who log real numbers consistently outperform fabricated profiles over time. A fabricated profile might get you one intro. An honest profile gets you opportunities for years. Companies talk to each other. A bad hire from a fabricated profile creates distrust in the platform and in you that spreads.

The reps who will get the most out of BusinessBooked are the ones who treat it like what it is: a permanent, verified record of their career. That record is only as valuable as it is accurate.
